Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 28, 1935]. [Class 8 (ii)] A plate 2 on a driving shaft carries cylinders 42 counterbalanced by weights 43, while the pistons are connected to separate bends of the driven crankshaft 8. The transmission is varied by levers 32 acting to hold the outlet valves 46 of the cylinders closed. These levers are actuated through a sleeve 14 on the shaft 8 which may be moved at starting by a clutch pedal 20, while at high speeds of the driven shaft a governor 25 holds the valve closed; the ball of this governor is integral with one of the links. A pedal 20<1> permits declutching.
