Abstract
445,801. Window &c. fastenings. HOPE & SONS, Ltd., H., and HOPE, H. D., Halford Works, Smethwick, Staffordshire. Jan. 4, 1935, No. 321. [Class 44] A fastening for a metal. framed window or dooi is secured to a cranked plate a, b having the parts a, b parallel to the plane of the frame and having the part b welded or otherwise secured to the frame. The part a has a non-circular hole c in which a correspondingly shaped part of a pivot post e engages, the post being secured by a set screw f or by a nut threaded onto a screwed projection on the post. An integral lug g is provided on the plate to act as a stop for the fastening which is of the cock-spur type having a notch m in its end for securing the window in a partially open position. The part b may rest on the front of the frame and be secured by screws or rivets.
