Abstract

427,344. Securing door and like frames to walls. HOPE & SONS, Ltd., H., and BIRCH, F., Halford Works, Smethwick, Staffordshire. Dec. 13, 1933, Nos. 35060/33 and 582/34. [Class 20 (iii)] Door, window, and like frames of metal are secured to walls by fastening members a anchored in the wall and provided with projecting apertured ends for tapered cotter pins by which the frame is clamped against the rabbet of the wall opening. The frame is cut away for the fastenings and a clamping plate j, which may be free or attached to the frame or integral with the cotter pin, may be combined with the cotter. The fastening member may have bent positioning lugs f, g. The fastening members &c. are covered with plaster when fixed.
