Abstract
443,698. Printing surfaces. MASCHINENFABRIK WINKLER, FALLERT, & CO. AKT.-GES., 35, Wylerringstrasse, Berne, Switzerland. Oct. 23, 1935, No. 29251. Convention date, Dec. 1, 1934. [Class 100 (ii)] In a machine for casting stereotypes and backing electrotypes, of the kind in which the mould, during casting, is pressed against the valve-controlled opening of the pot and, when the mould is opened, the plate remains suspended from the upper edge of the core, grippers 11, 12 are provided which swing down, grasp the hanging plate, and return to place it on a conveyer device 15. The grippers are slidable on an arm 7 carried by a shaft 6 which is rocked by a crank 10 operated by gearing from a toothed segment 27 carried by a worm-wheel 26 driven from a motor. A fixed cam 16 co-operates with a bell-crank lever 17 which is carried by the arm 7 and is connected by a link 18 to a threearmed lever 19. The lever 19 is connected by links 20, 21 to the grippers and causes them to slide along the arm. The conveyer 15 is also driven from the worm-wheel 26.
