Abstract
421,096. Moulding concrete in shaking- machines. ORTROY, F. VAN, 46, Rue de Vriere, Antwerp, Belgium. Feb. 22, 1934, No. 5854. Convention date, Feb. 23, 1933. [Class 87 (ii)] A machine for continuous casting of concrete articles comprises a rotary and vibrating table 1 having moulds 2 arranged symmetrically round the table. The moulds are formed by apertures in the table provided with removable bottoms 8 resting on flanges, the bottoms being raised to eject cast articles by lifting plates 9 operated by levers 10. The table is mounted on a column 3 supported on a base 4 and rotated by gearing 13-17. The teeth of the gears 13, 14 may be interrupted or the shaft 17 may be rotated intermittently to effect intermittent rotation of the table. The column 3 and table 1 are vibrated by a cam disc 5. Feeding hoppers may be provided with distributing slides operated in synchronism with the ejecting devices and movement of the table. There may be four moulds, two opposed ones being filled simultaneously with ejection of articles from the two others. The table may be rotated continuously and in this case the ejecting mechanism is fixed on the table. The rotation of the table may be effected by hand or by electrical or mechanical means. In a modification, a rotary mould table is mounted on a ball or roller bearing on a fixed table vibrated by rotary cams.
