Abstract

191,453. Sutcliffe, E. R., and Sutcliffe, Speakman, & Co., Ltd. Oct. 10, 1921. Rotary-mould-table machines. - In a press for moulding bricks &c. as described in Specification 14937/02, the first-motion shaft 1 is geared directly to a main shaft e, which actuates the press elements, and to a countershaft b which operates the ejecting mechanism. The latter comprises an ejecting plunger i connected to a lever d, disposed wholly beneath the machine frame and reciprocated by a cam on the shaft b. The weight of the cross-heads h, h<1> is counterbalanced by an adjustable weight f<2> placed at one end of a lever f, the other end f<1> being attached to the bottom of the cross-heads by bifurcated arms g. The ejected brick &c. is removed from the mould table by a pusher block m<2> sliding en an arm m<5> and operated through links and levers l, m, m<1>, m<4>, from a cam k on the main shaft e. Two presses arranged as shown in Fig. 5, may be operated by a single first-motion shaft c, and supplied with material from a common pan o having radial stirrers o<1> driven from the shaft c.
