Abstract

472,024. Sheet delivery apparatus. DRESDEN - LEIPZIGER SCHNELLPRESSEN-FABRIK AKT.-GES. Feb. 19, 1937, No. 5009. Convention date, Feb. 21, 1936. [Class 100 (i)] Sheet - delivery apparatus for printing- machines includes a series of slowly-rotating suction discs 6 which engage the rear edge of each sheet and retard its motion, jogging-up fingers 10 being provided between the discs to complete the delivery of the sheet. Suction may be applied to the discs 6 through apertures in their shaft 4 in which case any of the discs can be rendered inoperative, e.g. when dealing with narrow sheets, by sliding the discs axially so that sleeves thereon cover the holes in the shaft. Each disc may, however, have its own suction pipe. The fingers 10 are, in the form shown, oscillated about a shaft 7 by an eccentric 9 on the shaft 4 but may be arranged to have a sliding instead of an oscillatory movement.
