Addition to 417,571. [Class 100 (ii)] In a machine according to the parent Specification, the plate g, which hangs from the upper edge of the mould core when the mould is opened, is removed by the fingers e to the side of the mould where the fingers allow the plate to fall on to a support h down which it rolls by gravity into an easily accessible position on a spring buffer i. The surface of the support h is covered with felt, rubber, or the like to prevent injury to the type surfaces. The fingers e are carried by a rod k supported by arms m on a rod f rocked and reciprocated as in the parent Specification ; arms n to form additional supports for the plate are also provided on the rod k.
