Abstract
442,898. Optical inspectionapparatus. GOSLING, A. C., 86, Sycamore Road, Smethwick, Birmingham. Sept. 14, 1934, No. 26412. [Class 97 (i)] Apparatus to be inserted in a tank &c. for inspecting the interior consists of two parallel tubes 1, 2 of which the tube 2 extends at each end bevond the tube 1. The tube 1 has at its upper end outside the tank a light source 5, and at its lower end within the tank a reflector 6 and lens 7 for illuminating the interior of the tank.. The tube 2 has at its lower end an opening 10 and reflector 9 facing the illuminated area of the tank, and at its upper end an eyepiece by which the said area is observed. The length of the tubes and the inclination of the reflectors may be adjustable.
