MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., Electra House, Victoria Embankment, London.- (Telefunken Ges. f³r drahtlose Telegraphie; 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin) July 30, 1935, No. 21637. [Class 37] A ferro-magnetically cored variable inductance coil for use in radio and similar circuits is provided with a suppfementary member of ferro-magnetic material for enabling the law of variation of inductance of the coil to be adjusted after manufacture, said supplementary member being additional to the means provided for varying the inductance of the coil when in use, and being adapted to be moved in position until the required law is obtained, its position in the assembly being then fixed. In the form shown, the inductance of the coil 1 is varied in use by moving in and out a ferro-magnetic plunger 3, and the supplementary member 4 is of elongated form and arranged with its length parallel to the direction of movement of the plunger.
