Abstract

Trisazo dyestuffs are manufactured by coupling resorcinol, in aqueous alkaline medium and in the order specified, with a diazotized mixture of 3- and 5 - aminosalicylic acid (or diazotized 5 - aminosalicylic acid), diazotized 6 - chloro - 2 - aminophenol - 4 - sulphonic acid and diazotized 4-nitroaniline. The products may be used for dyeing or staining leather of vegetable or chrome tannage brown shades.
