Abstract

313,927. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges. June 19, 1928, [Convention date]. Monoazo dyes which dye chrome leather is yellow shades are made by coupling diazotized 2- chloro-4-amino-1-methylbenzene-6-sulphonic acid with resorcinol or its derivatives. 2-Chloro-4-amino-1-methylbenzene-6-sulphonic acid is made by sulphonating 2-chloro-4-nitrotoluene and reducing. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also examples in which 1 : 3-dioxvbenzene-2 : 4-dicarboxylic acid dimethylester and 1 : 3-dioxynaphthalene are used as coupling components. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
