Abstract

The invention comprises the trisazo dyestuff of the formula <FORM:0684352/IV (c)/1> This is prepared by coupling H acid first in acid medium with 1 mol. of tetrazotized o-tolidine and then in alkaline medium with diazotized sulphanilic acid, and finally coupling in alkaline medium with m-aminophenol. It dyes leather grey to black shades. An example is given of the preparation of the dyestuff. Specification 604,831 is referred to.
