Abstract

438,626. Spray producers. DEIGHTON, J. W., 1, Niddrie Road, Portobello, Edinburgh. Sept. 19, 1934, No. 26899. [Class 69 (iii)] A nozzle for spraying tar &c. consists of an outer casing 3 having a loosely fitting core 4, the inner end 5 of which is partly conical and the outer end having a funnel-shaped outlet 6 within which is mounted a conical centre-piece 8, forming with the core 4 a diverging passage through which the liquid is sprayed. The core 8 may be held in place by lugs 9 entering recesses in the member 4 and clamped in place by a nut 10. The recess 12 formed in the cone 4 serves as a trap to retain solid particles. Interchangeable cores 4 and plugs 8 of different dimensions may be provided for varying the angle of spray or for use with different liquids.
