437,549. Discharge lamps. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London.-(Patent - Treuhand-Ges. f³r Elektrische Gl³hlampen; 11, Ehrenbergstrasse, Berlin) Aug. 15, 1934, No. 23543. [Class 39 (i)] In discharge devices such as high - pressure metal - vapour lamps wherein the lead - in wires become so hot as to be liable to oxidation, these leads 9 are carried through an auxiliary vessel 8 which is evacuated or filled with a neutral gas, one wall of this vessel being formed by the end of the main envelope 1. A flexible part 26 is included in each lead or the stud 12, Fig. 2, to which the lead 9 is attached may have a flexible mounting 18. Specifications 21574/13, 187,992, [both in Class 39 (i)], and 363,775, [Group XI], are referred to.
