Abstract
437,341. Time switches. LANDIS & GYR AKT.-GES., 1, Hofstrasse, Zug, Switzerland. July 10, 1935, No. 19725. Convention date, Aug. 24, 1934. [Class 38 (v)] A time switch is operated by a pin 5 on a switching lever 3, the upper end of which is bent round the edge of a time dial 1 tc which the lever 3 is rigidly connected by a pawl 19 on the lever 3 engaging recesses in the edge of the dial 1. A spindle 12 is mounted for rotation and for axial movement in a bush 10 in the glass front 9 of the switch casing. An arm 15 is loosely mounted on the spindle 12 but is connected to it by a hairpin spring 22 fixed to a pin 21 and having its arms embracing flats 23 on the end of the spindle 12. If the arm 15 is rotated until it lies over the lever 3, and then depressed, a recess 15<1> engages and depresses the pawl 19 to uncouple the lever 3 from the dial 1. The lever can then be set in any position on the dial, and, on release of the arm 15 is again rigidly connected to the dial 1. The flexible connection between the arm 15 and spindle 12 prevents sufficient force being used so as to stop the clock.
