Abstract
206,849. Fabrik Elektrischer Apparate F. Sauter Akt.-Ges. Nov. 10, 1922, [Convention date]. Switches, quick-action; electric motor actuation.-Operation of a switch 33 by hand or by clockwork from one position to the other causes a switch 12 to be driven bv an electric motor rapidly on or off. Operation of the switch 33 completes the circuit to a motor 1 which rotates a shaft 2 connected by a spiral spring 5, a rod 23 and a disc 20 to a shaft 9 carrying the switch arms 12. Rotation of the shaft 9 is prevented by one of two diametrically opposed inclined lugs engaging a pin 28 on a rocking-member 24 pivoted at 25, until the upper end of the pin 28 is lifted by one of two diametrically opposed inclined lugs 7 on a disc 6 on the shaft 2. The shaft 9 then rotates through 90‹ till the lug 21 engages a pin 29 on the member 24. This rotation breaks both the main circuit 14 and the motor circuit 16, 17. The motor circuit may be closed again by movement of the switch 33 to its other position, when the switch arms 12 will be moved through another 90‹.
