Abstract

436,429. Supply systems. BOSCH AKT.- GES., R., 4, Militarstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. March 7, 1935, No. 7122. Convention date, March 9, 1934. [Class 38 (iv)] Running generators in parallel.-The output of variable speed D.C. dynamos working in parallel for example on motor vehicles, is regulated by providing additional equalizing or compensating windings on the intermittent voltage regulators, these windings being responsive to differences of voltage at corresponding points in the circuits so as to ensure equal output of similar dynamos or constant ratio outputwith different dynamos. Each of the dynamos 1, is provided with an automatic switch or cut out 3 having voltage and current winding 5, 6, and with voltage regulators 4 also having voltage and current windings 7, 8 and adapted to short circuit intermittently resistances 11 in the circuits of the fields 2. The voltage regulators are also provided with windings 9 which are connected to corresponding points 10 on the generating circuits and are thus only effective when there is a difference of voltage at these points. In a modification three dynamos are similarly controlled by connecting the compensating windings to other points or the generating circuit.
