Abstract

239,882. Siemens - Schuckertwerke Ges. Sept. 13, 1924, [Convention date]. Exciting.-A continuous-current motor fed from a constant-current supply and having a regulatable field-winding 2 for varying the speed, is provided with an additional counter field-winding 4 excited in proportion to the varying voltage across the terminals of the armature 1, for the purpose of preventing excessive increase of speed. In a modification, the counter field acts upon a subsidiary regulating motor which in turn acts upon the field 2. The field 2 may be connected to a separate constant voltage supply.
