[Class 35] In an electric motor driving sound film apparatus, the noise generating parts, particularly the commutator and the centrifugal governor are sealed in air-tight and sound tight casings whereas the remaining portions are unprotected. As shown, the commutator 4 and governor 2 are in separate closed casings 5, 6 and the armature casing has openings 9 for the cooling air. In a modification, the governor and commutator are arranged in a common housing and the electrical connections are led in through a hollow shaft.
