Abstract
415,794. Motors. PULLIN & CO., Ltd., R. B., and PENGELLY, C. G., Seaford Road, West Ealing, London. March 3, 1933, No. 6558. [Class 35.] Armatures, mounting.-In a motor for rotating the gyro wheels of gyroscopic compasses, aircraft turn indicators or for other apparatus, e.g. the control of an aerial camera, the armature 1 is drum-wound and surrounds the field 3 which may be a permanent magnet but, as shown, has windings 4 ; the armature core acts as a magnetic shield for both armature and field windings. The armature windings are wave or lap wound and built up on a former. There are eleven slots in the core and the commutator has corresponding contacts on the side of a disc 10. As shown the armature rotates, the shaft 8 being carried in a casing 6 which is mounted on pivots 7. Specification 2862 /00, [Class 35], is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 20782/14, [Class 35].
