Abstract

435,065. Fountain pens. HORN, A. S., 60, Osmaston Road, Prenton, Birkenhead. May 24, 1934, No. 15465. [Class 146 (iii)] The feed-bar a of a fountain pen is formed with two communicating channels d, e of unvarying cross-sectional area, only one d of which channels on the underside of the bar communicates directly with the reservoir, the other channel on the upper side of the bar leading to the rib. The channels which are longitudinally arranged are connected by a transverse channel f of greater or less inclination and also of the same cross-sectional area, the arrangement being such that, in its passage to the nib, the ink is compelled to follow a tortuous course. The feed bar is preferably of the kind carrying an air tube b extending into the reservoir from an aperture c.
