Abstract

434,616. Auxiliary air admission. FOWLER, F. R., 87, Nunsfield Road, Buxton, Derbyshire. April 19, 1934, No. 11744. [Class 7 (ii)] Auxiliary air is drawn into the induction pipe through a conduit connected to the filler cap o of the engine crankcase. The conduit comprises a rigid copper pipe a fixed to the cylinder head, an adjustable valve d, and flexible connections m, l. The cap may be formed as described in Specification 291,941, [Class 125 iii)], but with the addition of a tube n fitted in the top and air inlet holes drilled in the dome-like support for the spring-securing clips. The flexible pipe l is connected to a drilled plate f sandwiched between the flanges of the carburetter and the induction manifold.
