[Class 102 (i)] [See also Group XXXIV] A chassis-lubricating pump mounted in a reservoir R<4> on the engine crank case may be operated by inertia or by pressure variations in the vacuum fuel feed arrangement. The inertia pump shown comprises a cylindrical casing 166. carrying a weight 172 connected to the plunger 186 and supported on springs 173, 183. Oil passes from the reservoir through an orifice 156, filter 208 and passage 213 to the casing 166, whence it enters the pump cylinder through plunger controlled ports 193. Discharge is effected through valve 189 and ports 203.
