Abstract

301,487. Allgemeine Elektricitõts- Ges., (Assignees of Hesselman, K. J. E.). Dec. 2, 1927, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Force-feed lubricating.-A piston pump supplying oil to an orifice in the cylinder of an internal-combustion engine is so driven that oil is fed only when the orifice is covered by the engine piston. Two pumps g, g<1> are actuated bv cams on shafts h, h<1> driven from the engine cross-head d, the arrangement being such that the pump g feeds oil through a pipe l to an orifice m in the cylinder a during the second part of the upstroke of the piston b, and the pump g<1> feeds oil through a pipe P to an orifice m<1> during the second part of the downstroke of the piston b.
