Abstract

432,342. Driving - gear for grab - operating drums. ROGERS, F. H., 181, Queen Victoria Street, London.-(Pohlig Akt.- Ges., J. ; 115, Wayerstrasser Weg, Zollstock, Cologne, Germany) Dec. 28, 1934, No. 37204. [Class 78 (v)] The two drums 2, 3 of a grab - operating plant, are driven from separate motors 4, 5 each of which is a current - displacing rotor motor arranged for pole changing whereby two speeds of rotation are obtained, the controlling switches having only four working positions, corresponding to slow, forward and reverse speed and higher forward and reverse speed. The two controller handles 9, 10 are brought together, so that both can be grasped by one hand when both motors are to be set to run in the same direction at the same speed. Fig. 3 shows an alternative method of bringing the handles 9<1>, 101 together, in which the boss of one is formed as a sleeve on the other.
