Abstract
In a furnace for annealing metals in which a neutral or reducing gas is continuously circulated through the furnace and an apparatus for removing free oxygen, the latter includes a chamber in which is fitted a catalytic gauze made of an iron alloy containing 18 per cent of chromium, 8 per cent of nickel, 1 per cent of tungsten, and 1 per cent of vanadium. Specification 120,944, [Class 39 (iii)], is referred to.
