Abstract

Precipitation-hardened welded stainless steel castings consist of 15-18.5% Cr, 2.8-5.6% Ni, 1-2.98% Cu, not more than 0.12% C, and the balance Fe apart from usual impurities. The heat treatment comprises annealing at 1900 DEG F. for 1 hour, oil quenching, heating at 900 DEG F. for 1 hour, and air cooling.
