Abstract

A band of an alloy containing equal quantities of nickel and iron is recrystallized after cold-rolling by annealing in a container in hydrogen at 1100 DEG C. for one hour, and is exposed in the container to air until cooled to 400 DEG C., and is then removed from the container and cooled in air to room temperature. Further cold-rolling may be followed by heating to 400 DEG C. and cooling in air.
