Abstract

429,224. Pulleys ; securing on shafts. WARD, F. S., 120, Princes Highway, Dandenong, Victoria, Australia. May 22, 1934, No. 15236. [Classes 80 (i) and 80 (ii)] In a split pulley of the kind in which cheeks 6 on each half engage a divided hub 4, the hub is formed with at least two circumferential grooves, and means such as cross-bars 8 are provided on the cheeks to receive the securing bolts 9. The hub portions may have a slightly smaller internal radius than the radius of the shaft, and have a limited angle of embrace upon the shaft.
