Abstract

151,509. Pell, H. W. L. Nov. 28, 1919. Pulleys.-A detachable driving-pulley, adapted for use with shafts of different diameters, has a divided boss A, A' with bolts D, D' and a divided rim E, E<1>, with bolts e<2> in lugs e, e<1>, the rim and boss being entirely separate. The boss is attached to the rim by two transverse members E<2>, E<3> forming part of the rim and provided with V or other suitably-shaped edges engaging corresponding recesses in the boss. The boss is provided with inwardly-extending portions b, b<1>, b<2>, b<3> which grip the shaft, enabling the boss to accommodate shafts of different diameters. Graduations e<6> may be made to facilitate adjustment of rim and boss.
