Shaft couplings; universal joints.-Adjustable shaft couplings for timing ignition magnetos comprise an intermediate member c recessed for engagement with studs a<1> on a bossed disc a secured to the driven shaft f, and with a like number of studs on a disc b, which carries screwed studs j engaging curved slots i in a plain bossed disc d secured to the driving-shaft e, whereby final adjustment is effected. The member c is either of rubber or other resilient material, and may be enclosed by a metal protecting-ring, or is of metal with two perforated flanges m, Fig. 7.
