Abstract
425,564. Discharge devices. KILPATRICK & SON, Ltd., J., ORR, J., and FORREST, A. W., 16, Forbes Place, Paisley. Dec. 30, 1933, No. 36709. [Class 39 (i)] In a luminous discharge tube, a hollow insulating cylinder F, e.g. of mica, is fitted into the neck E of the electrode chamber B, and extends a short distance inside a hollow cylindrical electrode C, the cylinder and the electrode being so dimensioned that an annular space G exists therebetween, and the electrode is prevented from touching the glass wall. The diameter of the neck E may, or may not be, the same as that of the tube A. The filling consists of neon, argon or helium.
