Abstract
462,767. Ozonizers; discharge apparatus. READ, F. O. March 26, 1936, No. 9021. [Class 39 (i)] Ozonizing-apparatus consists of a vacuum or gas-filled envelope 1, Fig. 1, and an external metal grid or mesh electrode 4 spaced therefrom by rings 5 of a metal such as aluminium unaffected by ozone and offering a large area of contact with the envelope or by rods 6, Fig. 2, of dielectric material or by ribs on the envelope adapted to increase the thickness of the wall of the envelope at the points of contact with the electrode. The internal electrode 3 may be a hollow cylinder supported by one or more conducting rods connecting it to an external contact on the plug.
