425,548. Rotary engines. PEDLOW, R. H., 10, Alton Square, Salford. Sept. 18, 1933, No. 25723. [Class 110 (ii)] A rotary internal-combustion engine has a rotor d provided with pistons e, and outwardlysliding abutments k which also act as fuel admission valves. A ramp n on the front of a piston lifts an abutment k, and also the end of a pilot valve p which controls the fuel inlet port q. As an abutment commences to slide down the back of a piston, a port x aligns with an annular groove in the valve p and compressed fuel is admitted to the interior of the abutment, fired, and expanded behind a piston e. The exhaust gases pass through ports v. Sealing rings are provided upon the casing, rotor and pistons.
