[Class 39 (i)] The valve described in the parent Specification is modified by the provision of a plurality of further electrodes behind the perforated anode. The further electrodes are preferably insulated one from another, and may consist of grids, the one most remote from the anode being a grid of close mesh or an imperforated sheet. The invention is applicable to a screen grid valve having an internal resistance of at least 100,000 ohms.
