[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, June 16, 1934.] [Class 20 (iii)] Horizontally and transversely movable sashes have roller engagement with rods f<1>, f<2>, slidably carried in slotted metal plates g at top and bottom of the frame. Steel wire guides h are provided to prevent wear on the sill. Sealing strips i of rubber or the like are provided between the sashes. The rods f<1>, f<2>, when the sashes are closed, are covered by ledges k attached to the frame, these ledges serving to guide the sash during sliding movement. The windows may be double glazed. Fastening bolts engaging holes in the sill and lintel are provided for fixing the sashes in suitable positions.
