Abstract

Lubricants for cutting or drilling tools are obtained by grinding or similarly comminuting sulphur in an oily, fatty, or aqueous medium so as to form a paste containing colloidal sulphur, and adding to a cutting or drilling oil or emulsion at atmospheric temperature. 0,5--1,0 per cent of sulphur relative to oil and ground in a ball mill to a particle size under 50 m , preferably 5--20 m is suitable.
