[Class 81 (ii)] [See also Group VII] An insole having an incised, perforated, and oil-treated portion extending across the insole in the region of the ball of the big toe, a heat insulating cushion d, and a protecting sheet e, is provided with an aperture n to accommodate the heel, the edges of the aperture being bevelled on the underside and supported on a similarly bevelled annular cushion p. Raised supports may be provided at i for the transverse arch of the foot, and at l and m to form a bed for the heel. A further sheet h, shown turned back in Fig. 2 and omitted from Fig. 3, is used to cover the entire insole, or, alternatively, the cover sheet e is extended into the toe of the shoe, when the sheet h may be restricted to the rear part of the shoe.
