483,028. Boots and shoes. GROUVEN, P. Oct. 9, 1936, No. 27481. [Class 17 (ii)] A shoe intended to prevent turning over and twisting of the foot has a heel 7 the tread surface 5, Figs. 2, 6, of which is convex symmetrically about the longitudinal axis from the forward edge to about the middle of the rear third at the same level and drops towards the other edges with a slightly convex arch. The lower edges of the sides of the heel may project to increase the tread surface. The forward inner corner 11 of the heel may be extended to support the longitudinal arch of the foot and the inner face on which the foot rests is elevated by an insertion 10, Fig. 2, under the insole 9 at the outer lateral metatarsus.
