Abstract

417,421. Boots &c. PARKER SHOE CO., Ltd., F., and EATON;J., Bardolph Street, Leicester. Nov. 23, 1933, No. 32806. [Class 17 (ii).] A leather insole 10 for boots or shoes is relieved in thickness all round its periphery to accommodate the overlasted portion 14<a> of the upper, allowing the outsole 15 to be secured direct both to the insole and the overlasted portion of the upper. The rebate is substantially equal in width and depth to the width and thickness of the overlasted portion of the upper, and may be of greater depth towards the centre of the insole than at the edge. The insole may be made of more than one layer permanently secured together before incorporation in the shoe. Specification 151,284, [Class 17 (ii)], is referred to.
