[Class 17 (ii)] A sock for insertion in footwear comprises a lower portion 2 of resilient material with projections 1 on its under face and an upstanding edge 6 at its periphery within which may'be inserted a layer of moisture absorbent material such as cork, felt or leather. Perforations in the lower portion between the projections permit the circulation of air during walking. The projections may be irregular in height to support the arch and toes of the foot.
