[Class 17 (ii)] A flexible pneumatic arch-support which may be worn in slippers, gymnasium shoes, tennis and bathing shoes comprises in uncompressed condition a substantially flat gas chamber 2 having top and bottom layers 1<a>, 1<b>, extending over the heel and ball of the foot and joined together around the entire periphery 3 to prevent the formation of gas cushions at places other than under the arch of the foot, when the support is compressed in wear.
