478,322. Foot-arch supports. DICKSON, J. July 15, 1936, Nos. 19626/36 and 5661 /37. [Class 17 (ii)] A strip d of leather or other material is secured at its lower end between upper and lower layers a, b of an insole, the upper layer a having moulded thereon a bulge or projection c to support the arch of the foot. The free end of the strip d is narrowed and has eyelets f, which are somewhat below the eyelets g by which the shoe is fastened by a lace or strap, so that, when the fastening means are passed through the eyelets f and secured, the support is drawn closely to the foot. Alternatively, the lower end of the strip d may be secured between the inner sole and bottom filling material.
