512,449. Boots and shoes. RUSBRIDGE, T. E., KEECH, G. E., and WHEELER & CO. (LONDON 1934), Ltd. March 4, 1938, No. 6887. [Class 17 (ii)] Foot-arch supports.-A flexible bracing support for the longitudinal foot-arch is slidably supported in relation to the insole by a retaining strip. of material which is narrower than the insole and overlies it, being integral therewith, as shown, for example by slitting it at 38 intermediate its top and bottom faces from the inner face on both sides, or attached thereto at its ends. The bracing support may, if desired, pass to the outside of the upper through slits 48, and is provided with fastening means, for example, a lace and eyelets 44, which lace may be that employed for fastening the shoe, or a strap and buckle. One or both sides of the support may be reinforced by a stiffener, if desired. Specification 465,012 and U.S.A. Specification 2,068,251 are referred to.
