Aug. 9, 1918 With attachments for special purposes.-To retain the tongue B of a boot in position it has secured to its upper end a small strap A, Fig. 1, which is threaded through eyelets C in the boot upper, and is then secured by a buckle. In a modified arrangement, Fig. 2, the ends of the strap are perforated and engaged by the boot lace.
