Ankle and foot-arch supports.-Separate straps 1, 2 surrounding the instep and ankle are sewn between the lining and upper of a shoe and are provided with eyeletted free ends 4, 7, extending through slits 3, 6, in the lining so that the ordinary lace 5 may be used for tightening the straps. The eyelet holes in the straps fall short of the ordinary lace holes so that tightening is facilitated.
