Abstract

534,583. Boots &c. JEFFRIES, C. W., and PADMORE & BARNES, Ltd. March 15, 1940, No. 4898. [Class 17 (ii)] A shoe or slipper of the type having a turned over tongue 2 and an upper with a turned over top 1, Fig. 1, is arranged so that the tongue can be raised to the position shown in Fig. 2, and the upper turned up so as to overlap the tongue, to which it is secured by press studs 4 or other fastenings. The tongue is formed with holes 5 through which the shoe lace is threaded before being tied, as shown in Fig. 1.
