Fastening; athletic boots and shoes.-Boots and shoes, including sports wear, are provided with a separate and removable strap or band 3, which is interlaced through the upper but does not pass into the interior of the shoe, and is provided with one or more perforations 4 through which the lace is passed to tighten the strap round the ankle.
