Abstract

478,463. Insoles; foot-arch supports. MUSEBECK, G. E. March 2, 1937, No. 6204. [Class 17 (ii)] A corrective insole for shoes comprises an insole proper 10 having a stitching channel 11 forwardly of the heel portion and a wedge piece 13 secured thereto beneath the inner half of the heel portion and beneath at least a part of the shank, the wedge piece in part underlying the stitching channel and having an edge 16 free to permit stitching through the edge and through the lip of the stitching channel. Either the wedge piece or the insole 10 may carry an extension 14 to give support to the forward inner part of the heel, the widest part of the extension preferably being in the region of the breast of the heel. A cut 20 aids in giving free access to the stitching channel. Specification 444,282 is referred to.
